Default Tapping / Ticking Noise?

OK let me first start off with this ?

Does anyone know what a base circle on a ms4 measure at compared to stock?

My heads are the prc stg 2.5 heads with prc 660 dual valve springs ! I was running a pushrod lenght of 7.4 (tsp recommended ) !
We'll I broke a valve spring outter one and just decide to replace them all along with new pushrods 7.425 iin hopes that this would quite the ticking down !
It did at first but now i seem to have a very weird ticking sound at idle and it doesnt seem to always be constant !
This is a new motor with 2700 on it ls2 402 ms4 camshaft prc stg 2.5 heads the are 66cc flattop pistons with 2cc vavle relief!
Should I try a bigger pushrod ?????
The car still pulls very hard ! The best i could get at the strip is a 7.66 at 98 mph with a 2.34 short time ! 1/8th mile
Anyway I am at a loss here as what to do! all advice and opinions are welcomed!

Many post i have read guys are saying some of this is common as these motors are noise and this cam is noisy aswell and long tubes just make it louder!

i dont think that the base circle is any larger on the ms4 compared to stock. its your lift that the tick would come from, no?

ls1 valvetrain = noisy
ls1 valvetrain + bigger cam + headers = super noisy

if that helps any :/

Why did you change pushrod length without measuring first? How much preload do you have? There are some basic things missing that you should really do first to help diagnose this situation.

MEASURE!!

Your base circle is slightly smaller But I cant remember off the top of my head by how much. Just measure and then you won't have to guess.

With that much money in the motor, surely you can spare 20 bucks and buy a pushrod length checker and get the correct length pushrod. I have a comp one, 20 bucks. It tells you the length right on the length checker.
