Default should i mill stage 2.5 5.3 heads?

Hey i did a search, actually a thousand of them lol and finally decided on a heads cam package from tsp. I am going with the stage 2.5 5.3 prc heads and an ms3 on 113 lsa. Along with ls7 lifters and the usual p&p oil pump, etc. I am also using GM head gaskets. My question is, can i mill the heads down any to up the compression some, or am i gonna run into ptv clearance problems. Also what would my compression be as i can only purchase 91 octane fuel here in the midwest. thanks and sorry about the noob question

When you buy these heads with a MS3,TSP will sink the valves a little for more for clearance just so the MS3 fits.I would not mill the heads at all without first checking for piston to valve clearance, reson being its gonna be real close to begin with.

^^^^ you can't even run those heads SAFELY UNMILLED .054 HG unless TSP recesses the valves.......

I have 5.3's milled to 59cc from tsp, call them and tell them what cam your running and they will tell you if your going to have PTV issues or not. I think I remember Jon telling me that with a 59cc mill job a 228R is the max for safe PTV clearance. Also if your only able to get 91 octane, I would consider not milling them too much as you could run into detonation issues.

Just call them and ask to be sure as they know there products better than me lol. However I love my TSP head and cam package. Just look at the numbers in my sig.

I would be surprised if you were 59cc with a 228. A 224 I know will fit at 59cc factory MLS.....

Edit: I see you are 224....

228r should fit with the 59cc heads. I know for a fact that they fit on the exhaust side, intake well...who knows.
You can make some good power with the 59cc heads, but if you want to go bigger cam flycut your pistons while your heads are off.
