Is my car getting stronger with more miles
I just finished a rebuild on my motor a while ago. I have been playing with WOT getting on the freeway and what not. I did the first WOT at about 1200 miles. It has 1800 on it now and it feels like it gets faster the more miles I put on it. Is it my imagination, or is it getting stronger with miles???

Re: Is my car getting stronger with more miles
Usu. engines will dyno better after they have had more miles on them. I have read a few Car and Driver long term test articles where after 30,000 miles and a retest a car will actually drop some time in the quarter mile.

Seriously, these engines will run quicker (and, of course dyno higher) after they get 10K or more miles on them.
