I blew the spark plug out of the block!
For the longest time i thought i had a header leak and yesterday i believe it was a loose spark plug that blew out of the side of the spark plug. It is the passenger side front spark plug so i can see it well from underneath the car. The plug just slides right in no grib at all so what do i do to fix this on my 1998 z28 ls1 camaro?

i say pull the head and call around to the machine shops for estimates. then price some used heads off of here, they could be $100 bucks or less. then go the cheaper route....

Call around and find someone familiar with repairing the Ford 5.4 truck engines with the blown out spark plugs. Ask them if they do Time-Serts. If so the LS1 takes the same kit as the Ford engine does. It can be done without removing the head. Most Ford dealers offer this, but may be reluctant to work on Chevrolet.

THis happened on my old cavalier 3.1 liter. I bought the helicoil kit from a parts store and it lasted for a little while then blew out again so i got a head from a junk yard and put it on. I would say either buy a used head and be done with it.
