Default Ls1 crankcase breather?

Will the LS1 be OK if I use breathers instead of the PVC system set up? Don't really like the fact that the pcv system will coat the intake runners with a little oil. Over time it does build up....I've seen it first hand. My mode of thinking is a SBC can run breathers why not an LS1. Thank you all for any helpful input

Your oil will get really dirty fast. The best thing to do is run a catch can before the intake. There is a huge thread here about the pros of using a modified PVC system with catch can, and not plain breathers. Search and you will find it.

if you're changing the oil often enough and this is a weekend vehicle there isn't a big issue with it IMO. I am just running the speed inc breather where the oil fill cap should go and capped off the pcv lines as I'm running a carb anyways as well.
