Depends on who ports them and how much you spend.You get what you pay for ,in some cases at least.

agreed...depends on who did the work and how good the p/p is.

budget ported 243s could only gain you 20-25hp
professional ported 243s could gain you nearly 50hp
poorly ported (fucked up) 243s could cost you power

agreed with teke. You can gain 15hp bolting on a stock 243 head, 40+hp with a proven LS6 head, or who knows with a jacked port.

Checkout www.texas-speed.com we offer ls6 heads fully ported & brand new for abut 1k for the pair. Cnc work & assembly can also be done to your cores if you'd like!!

Becareful choosing a proven porter!! Spend some extra time in the dyno section looking for independent results!

Good advice.

You might even spend some time off this forum looking for independent results.

Caveat emptor.

I guess this is not an indipendant result but;

with CARTEK 4X [hand ported LS6 heads] and a CARTEK 4X cam, my car made 507.9RWHP, through a 12-bolt with 4.56 gears...

Fast 90/90, 1-3/4" headers and bolt ons.
