Putting in ARP Rod bolts, should I replace rod bearings?
I am putting in a tubular K-member. I was wondering if it would be wise for me to replace the rod bearings at the same time as the ARP bolts. I work at a speed shop. I already have the stuff at the shop. We have 2 motor jobs here already this week, and both are spun rod bearings. I probably have 25,000 miles on the car. I run consistant 6.6/6.5's. I have a best of 6.44 at 105. Which equates to low 10's in the 1/4. I run the car all the time. 2-3 times a week. My car has knocked for a while now. I think it is a combination of valve train noise and the normal GM piston slap. It sounds like a diesel in the mornings, but most of the noise goes away after it worms up alittle. I have about 75psi oil pressure by the way. Thx for the advise guys.
