Another which Cam thread
I am looking at changing Cams while my engine is apart and would like some advice.
My setup will be a 6.0 Iron block bored (~.30) with forged rods and lower compression pistons (not sure how low yet hopefully ~9.2-9.5:1 CR), Stock LS1 crank, and a set of stock LS6 heads, stock LS6 intake, 60lb injectors, PTS turbo kit w/TC78 turbo, th-400, stall is somewhat tight but will flash to 4200, and 9" rear w/3.00 gears. I plan on running ~15psi and would like to make around ~600rwhp or better on 93 w/methanol injection.
I want the cam to lope some but it doesn't have to lope as hard as my current Cam (226/226 584/584 112). I know lots of sponsors have forced induction cams but I am debating on haveing a custom cam spec'd instead.

Don't forget to carefully spec the valve spring to match that combo. It would be really easy to spend all your time selecting a camshaft without considering the valve spring. under boost the spring will become especially important! We're just finalizing a brand new valve spring that should be leaps & bounds above everthing currently available to the LS market.
If we can help you select a camshaft / cam combo please feel free to give us a call!!

Thanks Jason, I may have to do that. I want a good overall cam: power, drive-ability, and a nice sounding idle. I like the idle of the EPP blower cam but that is the only one I have really seen a video of.
