Default Torquing ARP Head bolts

So I went with ARP Head bolts since I'm in SOOO deep $$ with my 408. I have the rebuild books and they say to torque to X lbs and then another 70 degree turn? There is a dial gauge for it.

I did a quick search and didn't find anything. So just wondering...

GM bolts are angle torqued but not ARP bolts. I would call ARP for torque rating to be sure of the correct spec!

Thanks guys. I thought this was the case. They should go on tomorrow if I can get the head pins to line up the heads...

You need to make sure and torque them into sequence... I did 3 sets.... 40, 60, then 85 ft./lbs.... according to ARP and my engine builder

go with arp's rec-smaller bolts have a diff torq than the others-real important,
lube washers, underside of bolts/nuts to get accurate torq readings-any place where metal to metal rubs, and you will be fine
there is a gauge for the fac. bolts, after a predetermined torq, then a certain angle-i bought one off ebay, cheaper than the plastic one i got from NAPA, lol
