Default Stock LS1.26.7 #s boost and it still runs!

Well.Almost.My wastegate hose was knocked off on a dirt road while on vacation.Ran a Mustang for about 6 seconds and my boost controller recorded 26.7#s.OOPS!The car still ran and I already had planned a new motor so I drove it home after checking for water in the oil and oil in the water. That part looked ok.The motor was making a loud clicking noice but it didn't sound like a knock.Next day I pulled the heads and everything looked ok.Head gaskets, pistons and lifters looked fine.I haven't pulled the bottom end apart yet.
What do you think happened? My machinist says I've collasped a piston but I don't think so.
Thanks

I'm going to go with ring land failure. With that amount of boost it probably went massively lean. Do a compression check.

That would make sence.I didn't see any damage when I pulled off the heads but who knows what the pistons look like untill they are out.
Lifters, rockers and push rods look ok.Springs looked alright but sometimes you need to pull them apart to see if they are broken.
