updated knock sensor or not

Can I tell if the knock sensors in my 98 are the updated ones by the numbers on them? I heard that the updated sensors were put in late production 98 cars. Thanks for any info.

if they are the origional knock sensors in the 98, just get 2 new ones from an 01 with a new wire harness, its about 90.00 total, but new and knowing is better.

Yes you can tell by the part numbers. I can't remember off the top of my head what the number was, but I found it searching here. My '98 had the updated sensors in it.

Like jmm98ls1 said you can tell by the numbers. Mine had the old ones and was pulling 3-4 degrees. Updating the sensors and harness fixed the problem.
