Default New Prc valve springs

I know on texas speeds sight they list a set of springs for up to .700 lift, but they require you to enlargen your factory spring pockets, but in the new product forum they also list some new dual valve springs that do not mention anything about having to enlarged your spring pockets? I was wondering what are the best valve springs for lots of boost and lift that will fit in the factory spring pockets since I want to swap out valve springs without having the remove my heads? I have comp 921's , but am experiencing valve float and I don't like the fact that they are only 135lbs on the seat and only 380 open. I want a spring more like 160-180 on the seat and over 400 open so I can run 20 lbs of boost and not worry about valve float. I am also using comp pro mag 1.75 rockers which I know can cause valve float problems, but do you think going with some serious springs might help the rockers? Thanks for your help!!!

Whats the rest of your valvetrain setup, just adding more and more spring is not a good fix.

What cam do you have?
How are your springs setup?
Do you have thick wall pushrods?
Do you have Lightweight valves? (Alot to gain here in terms of valtrain control)

I have manley valves 2.02 and 1.6 with manley thick walled pushrods and a comp 222/224 .581 114 cam not sure of the lobes , but it was ground 4 years ago to match my hand ported heads. I know I could ditch the pro mag rockers, but I like the fact they are roller tip and the valve seals last longer with them since I am running .598 lift. Don't you think running a spring with around 180 lbs on the seat and 440 open would solve the float problem? My 921 springs are set up @ 135 @ 1.800/ 310@ .720 with CB @ .550.

I'm not a "boost" expert by any means, but that cam is so mild, you shouldn't be having float at all with 921s. Although I bet your Manley valves weigh 130g+

Are you sure its a valvetrain instability issue??? What makes you think this is your issue?

cause everything else is good to go plenty of fuel and the tune is spot on. I think it has to be valve float which is common with boost and spring levels like I have with the 921's. I am going to have the shop check the springs to make sure they are still good since they have almost 40k on them and if they are good they might be able to shim them to get more rate out of them otherwise I'm going to upgrade to higher rate springs. Speed Inc like to setup their valve springs with 200lbs of pressure on the seat and 440 open so that is a whole lot more than what I am running. Anyone else out there have any experience or knowledge with my setup? Thanks guys.
