Default stock bottom end specs question

does any one know the limitation of the stock bottom end? ie power and rpm.

Also, if I go with a set of new heads with 2.08 intake valves, what "size" cam am I limited to before I have piston to valve clearance issues?

Do a search, but the stock rob bolts dont like more than 6700 RPM's for long.

As far as PtV clearance goes, it depend on the CC size and headgasket thickness.

With the factory rods, i wouldnt mess with ARP, get a set of Katech Rod bolts, very nice.

I would not recommend 2.08 valves on stock bore, not that it won't work but you will not get their full potential due to valve shrouding and that defeats the purpose IMO. 2.055 would be max I would use.

With a 2.055 on "cleaned" .005 heads, a low to mid 230 range cam (depending on LSA/ICL)

Im using 2.040"intake valves and 1.575" exhaust valves with great results, on a 3.90 I wouldnt go any bigger...can you yes but just like pred said it will start to defeat the purpose
