Default Trying to pick the right set up

Hey I am about to put a 99 LS1 corvette motor and a 4le60 rans in my 69 Nova and I just wanted to add a cam only. I was just trying to get some ideas for the best bang for the buck. I am looking for a mild cam that will make some power and also not make the car idle really bad seeming how the only thing I will have in the motor is the cam. I am also looking for some good ideas on what converter I should go with for the cam set up. Any Ideas I would love to hear them. I know out of the box the 99 LS1 corvette motor made 345 hp I would be happy if I could get 350 plus to the actually wheels with a good cam with out going all out with thw ls6 intake and what not. The only other real pland I have for the motor is a good set of headers and to port and polish my factory throttle body.

Dont have any converter advice but these 2 cams would be my choice.

These on a 112 lsa will have a nice choppy idle and with a ls6 intake and some headers you'll be above your 350rwhp goal. Also throw in some hardened push rods, new valve springs, ported ls6 oil pump, and a ls2 timing chain.

Edit: I read it as you wanted a choppy idle, I didn't see the not...
Choose your cam with a 114 lsa in mind.

I have lots of good data that can help you make this selection. First thing in the morning I'll get you dyno data on several camshaft options at or less than 224 intake duration. I've been doing a lot of engine dyno testing with these smaller camshafts! I'll post the data as soon as I get to work!

We have several 470ish flywheel horsepower camshafts using 224 degrees of intake duration!

I'd ask PatG or predator-z this question. I'm sure they could spec out a cam for just what you want. I'd go with a custom grind cam anyday rather then an off the shelf cam.

Jason I would like to see those dyno numbers as well.
