Default Very Interested in LS3 Top End. Need Info...

I have a few toys at home an recently just Purchased another F body. A 2000 WS6. I have been very interested in the growing technology of the LS3/L92 Engines and Heads. I was wanting to change the top end of my WS6 over to LS3 Heads and Intake weather it be aftermarket intake or stock I am not that concerned about. I did want to see what info and engine builds with HP/TRQ Numbers people have raised and recieved from changing the top end of a stock LS1 over to LS3 Top End. I am just wanting opnions and personal experiances. If and when I do the LS3 Top End I am going to probabley stick with TSP, just due to the fact I have done two engine builds through them and have had zero problems with anything from them. So what Numbers do you think I could increase with " a meduim camshaft, and LS3 Top End" Thanks for the help guys.

Also is there a differance in power numbers/ flow numbers and compression between L92/LS3 Heads.

After you have done the Poll Post Why you choose that Head. Thanks

You should have read a few more threads first. LS3 and L92 heads are basically the same and will not bolt up to a LS1 short block. You must have a 4" or greater bore diameter.

I would just use the search on here and a couple of other LSx based sites, the information is out there.

So, that Idea just went out the Window. Looks like I might have to put my old 408 in the T/A then instead of collecting Dust. And, do the LS3 conversion on that thing

Found this in the LS1 Tech Archieves

Anyone know anything about this? Link Below

You can use the LS2 6.0 also, which is my preference as I see the extra 90 lbs on the nose as a major issue.

You make the power primarily in the heads, then the cam and IMHO in that order. If you have a 408, strap some L92s on that short block and roll out. Basically, the L92-type heads make as much power as the top shelf cathedral port heads for a **** load less money. You will need the rectangular port intake (L92, L76, LS3, etc) and FAST will eventually come out with one too to match the LS7 model. Just pick your objectives and budget first and work within it. You also need to use the SEARCH feature, there is a ton of good info here already on this. You could also strap a Maggie on that thing and put the FAST money toward a s-charger...

Yeah but at that point I mise well just stick with the 408 sitting in my garge collecting dust and just do a top end switch with the LS3 Combo
