Default 382 ci

Do you have to absolutetly bore and resleeve to get 382 ci (lunati kit) or can you get away with just clearancing the block a little (not the cylinders)

Depends on if you get the all bore kit or the all stroke kit. If you go all bore, you have to re-sleeve, cause your making up the cubes with the bore. If you go all stroke, you use the factory sleeve and make the cubes up with more stroke. I'm sure you would have to clearence the block some for the all stroke kit, but then again, I've never done it. Either kit will net you a 382, or you can get the all stoke kit with the bigger pistons of the all bore and get a 400+ cubic inch monster.

No boring needed. Just cross hatch the cylinders and you're good to go.

TSP is building me a 383 that should be done within the next week or so. They are honing the cylinders to 3.905 on a new LS6 block which will yield 383 ci.

What do you mean by" cross hatch the cylinders" is that just grinding them down a little at the bottom? can any competent machine shop do this?

They are just giving the stock sleeves a small cleanup and then stroking the motor to acheive 383 inches. If you decide to do an all bore motor you have to have it resleeved because the bore is 4.100 on a stock stroke. There won't be any sleeves left in the block when you bore them that big. That's really the difference between the stroker and the all bore. I think either way you are going to get some very nice results.
