How much can LS6 springs be shimmed when using ASA cam?
The valve springs are supposed to be good for .570-.580 lift but the ASA is only .525 so I thought it'd be a good time to shim the springs up. Any idea how much I can shim these springs? What is coil bind at on LS6 springs?

I don't. I'm trying to use a retainer lock that has its ridge .030 higher on the ridge then stock, essentially making a .030 shim. Doing this will bump spring pressure and will give a much lighter valvetrain.
I am not willing to accept that my tiny locks weigh twice as much as my valve spring retainers so I'm looking for a way around it.
