Rockers necessary?
Just curious, when doing cam swaps, is it really necessary to change Rockers, push Rods etc?? Already bought new lifters and springs. Car has 74k miles.

Rockers are optional. GM stockers are pretty damn good - strong, light. May want to send to Harlan Sharp to modify the needle bearings. Check the swipe pattern on the valve tips to determine correct geometry.
However, push rods are a no brainer. First, they are cheap. Second, stock GM push rods are notoriously weak. Add a high lift, long duration cam to stronger valve springs and you'll need some high strength push rods.
Lastly, push rods may also be required in a different length as most cam manufacturers utilize a smaller base circle on the camshaft. Therefore, the push rods will need to be slightly longer to compensate for the reduced base circle compared to the stock cam. Always use a push rod checker to verify the correct length and lifter preload.
