Default what 6.0l

I've been thinking about getting a 6.0l for my s-10 but have a few questions first. From what I've seen there is 2 the lq4 and the lq9.
Are they both the same except for the pistions which I asume is what gives the lq9 its 10.0-1 compression.

I've seen 2 versions of the 9.5-1 lq4 a 300hp and a 330hp version, does anyone know why the differance in hp ( maybe in the tune)?

Does anyone know what it takes to bolt on a set of ls6 heads to the lq4, since the ls6 heads flow a little better and would up the compression some?
thanks

from what I have read they should bolt right on to the bigger bore. I don't know if this is the best route...not that up on it.

u did not search enuff obviously, the ls6 and 6.0 heads are the same flow wise.
6.0 have bigger chamber. a mill and thinner gasket will raise the scr. on a lq4

it does not take anything other than some head bolts and gaskets to bolt on the ls6 heads lol. most of the parts can be swapped from motor to motor. there is alot about the lq4 and lq9 6.0 motors on here if you search. goodluck with your motor build
