Default What to get for my 82 corvette LS1

I recently swapped a LS1 and T-56 6 speed into my 82 corvette. I am also running 4.11 gears and the vehicle weight is about 3000p

I know I probably should be posting this in the hybrid forum but this is strictly engine info I need.

I have a stock LS1, high milage engine 135k, I got it at a deal and planned to rebuild it anyways.

I plan to go with a forged 383 short block at a later date. For now I want some extra horses and planned a top end swap.

This is what I have decided on and was wondering if it would be a good build, and would work with the 383 engine at a later date.

Heads - PRC stage 2.5 LS6 heads milled to make 10.7 CR (same as 5.3 heads)

Cam - Torquer V.2 cam

I have a LS6 intake currently but plan to go with a fast 92/92 setup later.

My question is with the head and cam combo would it be a good match for my stock LS1 with 4.11 gears and 6 speed? and will those same heads and cam work with a 383 stroker without having to flycut pistons?

also any idea how much HP I should put down with a that heads and cam package? with a T56

That setup should put down about 420 horsepower and have pretty decent street manners. The PTV clearance will be the same for the 383 depending on piston to deck height, but the forged pistons will likely have valve reliefs in them anyway. Some folks might recommend you go to a larger cam for a 383 but the Torquer 2 will be fine.

yeah I had considered a little bit bigger, but I dont know if a bigger cam will fit with milled heads on a stock ls1

I did look at the 233/239 cam I think thats what it is. the heads and cam probably wont come for another six months, and the 383 probably a year.

I just dropped 14 into this engine, trans, rear end swap with all need custom items.

I even kept the factory AC and AC lines
