Default When are stock Rockers not enough?

I am trying to find out when is it a time to upgrade? I plan to be right at 1200rwhp with my 408ci F-1R setup. Have people pushed them that far?

If I need them I have no issue getting them I just wanna see what the others are doing and how far they have been pushed.

The factory rocker is very light and stable, I have used it with great results on boosted engines. The F1R maxed out will make 1300-1400 flywheel hp, this would make me a bit nervous with the stock rocker because of the scrub style tip. The spring pressure required may cause accelerated guide wear with the factory rocker, and since valve toss kills the bearings in the stock rockers you will need to run a fine line between to much spring and rpm ability. I have used the Harland Sharp rockers on Mark Koehler's TA with great results and he is making good power and living reliably with a TEA prepped Trick Flow head and hyd roller.

They are a great rocker except for the spitting out of the needle bearings

Talk to Shane at Thunder Racing. I was reading a thread in the andvanced eng. section where he was talking about the stock rockers. With the trunion upgrade they should be good for a long ways.

Nothing is fool proof HS had issues with the rebuilt ones as well. The hardening was not sufficient so people still had issues after sending them in and getting the trunion upgrade.
We have had 0 issues with Yella Terra Ultra lites and use them on a lot of builds. It all comes down to who is setting up your valvetrain. Lots of issues get blamed on parts when the part had nothing to do with it They can't talk back and defend themselves
