317 heads VS TFS 225cnc
what kind of power gains would i see going from a set of 317 heads with 202 160 valve and mild port to a set of trick flow 225cnc milled to 61cc. its on a forged LQ9 with a torquer 2 cam 232 234 dur..currently with the 317's i have 10.1 compression

Consider also that you have a 71cc head with that 317 (provided you haven't milled it any) and you are moving up to a fully ported aftermarket head with a 61cc chamber. You are looking at a bump in compression that may require race gas on an iron block.

Trick Flows are the shis nit when it comes to heads, not know anything about your heads ## and all but you would pick up 20 to 40hp I would think. I had a set of Trick Flows on a 5.0 Mustang about 10 years ago and I was suprised to see it take them as long as it did to make heads for the LS comunity. I have been thinking of getting a pair for my car but like to know what to expect on the dyno, street and especially the track. If I do I am going to buy the Jesel Mohawk Roller Rockers and Nast Performance raised Valve covers and I would be looking at $5,000 to $6,000 dollars for everything and don't know if I should.
