What Stock Block Can I Use w/243 Heads?
Hey guys,
I'm in the market for a new or used (low miles) STOCK bottom end. Since I got my forged stuff done, it's been nothing but headaches and I know I'm not going FI anymore. SO I want to find a stock block for low $$$. Other than an Ls1/Ls6 block, are there others that will match up without problems in my car?
Thanks!

Well, you could use the LS2 block or iron 6.0 liter block (cheapest). But, you shouldn't have any problem finding a good LS1/LS6 short block. I picked up a 2004 LS6 short block for $500. Sold the crank, rods, and pistons for $275, so net I spent $225 for a low mile LS6 block.
