Default Help Me Pic My new Motor Setup.

Ok, heres the deal. I have a 2001 Ws6 with a stock bottom end w/ 120,000 miles on the clock. It's time for a Forged bottem end but I'm stuck on the stroke.

I have PRC 5.3 Heads, MS3 cam, FAST 90/90, LS6 oil pump, LS7 lifters, PS LTs, a Half-way built t-56, and a Fabbed 9 in it. The car is on the bottle with a 175 shot, Making 622/660 to the wheels and run Mid to low 10s.

My setup responds very well to a warm bottle, primarly spraying 150+.
N/A the car dyno's at 437/393 through the 9"... On a 175. I see 185 more RWHP and 267rwtq. The Heads and Cam work well together on the bottle. So, my question is... To save money, should I just do a forged 347, keep the heads, cam, everything, and spray 300-400? Or should I stroke to 383? If I stroke to 383, Am I gonna need new heads etc?

In addition, I'm almost dead set on switching to a TH400.
And I'm still looking into LQ9 408, LS3 418/427, LS2 402, and even a BBC if the $$ is right.

I'm up for everyone's opinion so let's here it.

I think you would want bigger heads to supply bigger cubes. So if your trying to keep the cost at bay a forged 347 with your set up and a 300 shot would be bad ***.

Agreed, the 347 would be the cheapest. But what kinda results can I expect with a LS1 383? Is it worth the price difference? Hell, at this point, it may make more sense to pay for an LS3, stroke it to 418 and go from there....

A friend of mine CoderedSS (sp) on here is running a 383 with 5.3's+MS4+90/90 and making 47x na and spraying a 150 shot putting down 64x. Not sure of exact times but high 10's na and 9xx on spray. IMHO 5'3's will work with a 383

400ci + I would go start looking at ported 243's or aftermarket if the budget allowed.
