Default Safe to start?

Is it safe to start a 408 on a stock tune with stock injectors? It has 11:7:1 compression and stock injectors for now, I just got it back in the car and just want to shove my stock cam in it so I can move the car.

Assume it's an LQ4/LQ9,

base tune?

No reason why not if it's just to move the vehicle around. It probably won't idle too good (Idle re-learn procedure would help).

Have done this with a few "modified" engines where the base factory tune was flashed in to drive them for a limited time.
In some cases they drove better than the tuned PCM cal that was in there.

It's gonna run like ****, but you should be able to drive it around. Just don't go flooring it or rev'ing up above 4k rpm's. Get it tuned asap.

Thanks for the advice, I dont plan on driving it around town or anything I just have to move it to another garage, I was worried about it leaning it out and melting a piston because of the stock tune/injectors
