just like the title says anyone every put a 5.3liter in a 1998 to 2002 camaro or ta. if so whats up with it...how it go in and what needs to be done...is it worth it...mods etc...

Thats stupid.

Noone with half a brain would/should waste their time changing engines to one with 50-60 less HP and less cubic inches than what the cam wouldve came with from the factory.

Depends on what you had for parts just laying around. If I had a V6 car with a blown motor I'd drop one of my complete 5.3's with cam and a TH350 with a big stall in it anyday. Then Spray it into the low elevens for little or nothing.

I have a 01 TA that's tough to sell, n I am not going to give it away !

With that said and a 402 in it, it likes a lil GAS. I'm thinking of downgrading to a 5.3 or the 4.8 out of my Silverado and make it a daily driver.

If I do, I stuff a shot a laughing gas on it..

So, depends on your needs and what you have. Lastly, what you want .

if you can get one for super cheap,and low miles.small bore can not run heads with bigger valves.add NOS and have fun.

Not true some of those 5.3 motors make 315hp,also if you don't have the money you gotta do what you gotta. I have a Tahoe witha 5.3It's not bad at all.
