Default good detailed write up on swapping motors in a fbody?

is there a good detailed write up on swapping out motors? just started taking my motor top half of the motor apart and got a quote to swap motors and i just dont have that kind of money so id like to see if i can tackle it myself. anybody ever done it?

i did it out the bottom. it was pretty easy to do.

Yes, its easy to take it out the top as well. I've done all mine out the top.

anybody have a write up to take it out throu the top? i really want to start taking it out this week. do i need to take it out with the transmission or can i just unbolt the tranny and take out the motor itself?
