Default 224 cam in a 370ci?

I might be picking up a 370ci iron short block. I have a TR224 on a 112. Is that enough cam for that motor and would some worked over ls6 heads work well on that setup too?? Thanks for the input

way small imo.I would do a MS4 or something along those lines just to get you started for a 370 specially with 243s/799s with full 64CC chambers

Generally, the 224 is considered very mild, even for the 346ci LS1. You could absolutely go bigger and still keep the car completely streetable.

Ummmmm.... why would "full" chamber heads make a good combo with a healthy sized ms4 Please enlighten me...I must have it all backwards...........

OP...what car is it going in and what are you gonna use it for??

Its going in a full weight 2000 camaro SS with 4.10s. I am working on a budget so thats why I was asking about using my 224 cam. My mods so far are listed in my sig. My motor took a dump on me and Ive just been tossing around some ideas. Plus Ive got a chance to pick up this 370 for a really good deal. The car is just a toy not a DD. And I would like to get it back to the track and it is a M6. I know bigger isnt always better but I am not racing this thing a ton. For ***** I was thinking of going with the T-Rex cam and using the 243 and keeping my LS6 intake. I know I will need a set of injectors and a pump.

The 224 will be too small for that motor IMO. Especially if it's a toy. Put it up for sale and grab something larger.
