Question Thinking of a G6x3 cam...

i have been running in circles on a cam idea and someone had mentioned a G6 cam.
the G6 would be going into a virgin LQ4 motor i am not swapping heads, swapping rod bolts ,just only the supporting components for the cam swap.
so any input on this cam,any other folks run this cam in a similar build?
thanks
Ed

The G6X3 is designed for the LS3/L92 heads. If you are going to run the 317 heads that come on the LQ4 then pick a different cam.

Way too much cam for a stock LQ4. It likes RPM's and needs air flow. So stock heads are not good and low rpms will not work good. A smaller cam will benefit you a lot more than that one. What intake are you using.

it would be a carbed application.

If it is for a carb application I would definitely not use an of the shelf grind designed for fuel injection. Get Pat G or someone else that knows what they are doing(not comp cams tech line) to spec you a custom cam for your application.

CamMotion grind custom camshafts for more than 30 years. They grind many cams for customers 'OFF THE SHELF' cams. I would try them.

"Bullet" makes custom cams as well.
