Default H&C question

First off, I am still trying to learn/research Head&Cam combos for my 99 t/a, currently bolt-ons and LS6 intake. The car has no engine problems, but has 105k, so I don't want to be too aggressive. The car is mostly just for the street and I would like a more aggressive sound as well, but not so choppy that it sounds like it will die at idle. I have tried searching and looked around on LS1sounds, but haven't been able to come up with anything useful to me.

I ran across this setup for sale and was wondering what those with more experience thought about it.

Patriot 243 Heads CNC'd
2.00 intake 1.55 exhaust
Patriot Gold dual springs, 7 deg locks, ti retainers
63 cc chambers
227cc intake runner
299.8 CFM at .600

Thunder Racing "custom" cam
228/232
112+2 LSA
.644/.598 lift with stock rockers
LS1 2127R/3725R HR112+2 comp lobes

That doesnt look like a bad setup. Cant go wrong with a mild cam and LS6 heads. Probably gonna pick up about 80rwhp with that. Give or a take a little. Cam has 6° valve overlap so its going to be a noticeable idle for sure. Looks like a smaller duration TRak cam.

I don't mind noticeable idle, just didnt want it to sound like it was about to die...would the 6° valve overlap be ok for that or is it too much overlap?

It's fine. 15°+ may be too much.

Alright cool, thanks for the advice guys. Sounds like someone might of beat me to buying these, but maybe I'll get lucky and be able to pick them up.
