Default question about heads

right now i have stock 806 heads on my 98, i can get a set of 241's for very cheap about $90. would it be worth switching to them? would i see any gain at all?

i have a 98 SS and i think most people put z06 243 heads, if they're not spending alot of $$ on aftermarket ones (5.3's, etc.)....i hope i can find a set soon

As far as power increase, no.

But you would get perimeter bolt valve covers instead !

Dont forget about valve covers, coil brackets, gaskets, coolant, new head bolts, maybe intake gaskets, and a port job to make it all worth it. It would be wise to wait and find a good set of ported factory castings.

each time there r different answers

as far i did read a lot of thread's that 241 are better then 853 and if u port them they will give u more power!

and 243=241 heads so they r same all most

the problem i dont know the HP gain from ported 241's !
