Default Help, can't deduct from search results

Hey all,

Checking PTV clearance today.

clay on pistons, head on etc etc.

yella terras done up snug. Cam on base Circle. Checker Springs .

adjusted PRLC to the point it wouldnt spin. came up with 7.302" rotated engine twice. checked PTVC : clearance good.

my question is when i add .050" for preload, will that affect my PTVC, and why/ why not ? is this procedure correct?

Many thanks,

RRhodes1

Shouldnt b/c the preload is the push rod pushing into the lifter.

No offense to you at all VTEC.. I don't know the answer..
That would make me get a second opinion.

None taken.

A good way to make sure would be to take a .050 feeler gauge and stick between the rocker tip and valve stem and go through the PTV checking motion again and see what comes up. If it still clears than it should be good.
