98 crank in a '00 LS1?

I built an engine using a 98 block, and an 01 6.0 crank... worked good for the guy that bought it. I think it was a 98 or 99 SS that he put it in. The reluctor wheel is piece of hardware on the crank that is used by the computer to know what the position of the rotating assembly is.

A crank re-learn is simply the PCM learning the new reluctor position relative to the crank throws (#1). Although they are all the "same", the is a production tolerance that may cause rough running until the PCM refigures the timing.
The crank re-learn is a diagnostic the dealer can do, or if you know someone with EFILive they can do it also.
