Well....
"Alpha" 205 heads are being prepped for final testing. Cores and machining procedures and issues are resolved. A set is being assembled "as is" per production procedures and will be run through a series of valvetrain cycling tests. Another pair are being prepped for "real world" testing. They're due to be bolted on and run hard on a "test" vehicle. (No it's not my wife's C5 either... grrrr...) Testing over the next couple of days/weeks will be intensive.
I will have an "Alpha" set here to inspect, flow and give my "opinion" of sometime next week. I'll be posting my findings as soon as I have the data.
The "Beta" test sets are being processed for final QC and evaluation, and should be completed by mid/end of this month. Then "production" will be scheduled. This is if everyone is pleased with the end results! (I have faith)
The full blown "ready for purchase" AFR 205 series heads are scheduled for production/release in February. At least that's when a pallet full better be sitting here on my shelves!
The bigger 225 series will be ready for similar testing and evaluation in late Feb or early March. Hopefully I'll have a set right away for a similar evaluation.
Last on the list for release is the "as cast" series from what I've been told as of "1-6-04"... Probably because it's a limited market for a raw head.
I will have to start date coding everything since things are always in flux...
