Default Another Ticking Thread

Ok so I had been doing a few donuts in my 01 m6 vette, developed ticking got worse over time. I ended up pulling valve covers replaced all rockers and pushrods with new factory originals and replaced girdles too. Never had needle bearings or metal shavings in the oil. Car seems like it has very slight miss, performance is down a little. Ticking is from pass side valve cover gets louder when it heats up not too loud at intial startup it does follow the RPMs up and down. My question is does this sound like bad lifter or maybe spring? Thanks alot for any help

Take a good look at the springs and be sure if its not brocken. A collasp lifter will make the tapping sound u describe. and cause it to miss because the valve is not fully closing or opening. Hows the oil pressure?

check your spark plugs, and i am not kidding. if you have a loose or backed out spark plug, it will cause i lifter like tick. it is an easy check, just pop off the wires and re-torque them down

I agree with the spark plug assumption. But if that's not it, then it definatly sounds like a lifter problem...
