1998 LS1 stock 28 lb injectors for my heads/cam combo?
Within a week or two, I'm gonna proceed in getting my TSP 5.3L Stage 2.5 heads and Torquer V2 cam goodies together for a badass 11 second daily driver. Now would these stock 28 lb injectors still be ok to run with a custom tune or do you think I will have to go bigger?

I mean come on you've taken the time to mod the car how you want it making it fast why on earth would you cut a small cheap corner like a fuel pump?

the stock injectors are fine. Get a racetronics fuel pump with hotwire kit and thats all u need. My 98 ss have been heads and cam with forged internals since 2002 at 455 rwhp since on a 346 ci without no problem, just the stock fuel pump didnt handle that power so i got the raceetronics kit and been good for 8 years!!!

no, my engine was starving for fuel on the top end and the dyno graph dipped around 6k. Thunder racing told me i needed to get a fuel pump and i put it off for a while until i got on my car hard one night and heard a pop and my car missed all the way home. Come to find out one cyl. ran lean or detonated and melted the tip off my tr6 plug. Lucky my pistons were forged so nothing got messed up. Put a new plug in and fuel pump, now all has been good.

I know i was being sarcastic towards the others saying they can handle 500rwhp without a problem.

Good for you whatever is right lol
I've seen alot of things too, the fact is you should upgrade the fuel system when your pushing that kinda power regardless if the pump or whatever can handle it. It's not expensive to throw in a walbro 255 and some bigger injectors. My TA had 88k on the clock when i swapped in a cam and all the boltons, you can bet your *** i wasn't going to rely on a old stock pump and injectors to handle even the power it makes that's a time bomb waiting to go off in my own opinion. Now i'm good to go if i wanna spray 150 shot or 200 shot on the car i won't have to upgrade the fuel system.

I'm just over 400rwhp and my tuner said I didn't need the injectors I bought, stockers wouldn't have been maxed. But it was peace of mind for me. Bosch 42#ers, racetronix pump and hotwire kit. About 500$ I think altogether.

If you do get a pump get the Racetronics with the wiring kit for sure. The wiring harness connects the power source directly to the alternator as opposed to the battery so it supplies more voltage meaning better flow. The Racetronix pump is actually an upgraded Walbro also.
But again unless you are gonna spray or go big cubes an upgraded pump is not necessary.... And before you get injectors see what your duty cycle is after the mods..... Damien on here made 450 on stock injectors IIRC and he runs an LSx shop.....
