Default oil pressur 80psi cruising?

ok just like title says. I have always had a reading a little high, sometimes it would spike to 80 on cruise but it used to sit about 70 on cruise. Now it will 80% of the time cruise at 70mph 6th gear at 80 psi....

now is somethign wrong with my engine? oil pump? or is it just the oil pressure sensor giving off a false reading?? is there a way i can test it??

im going to be doing a cam swap in a month so is this something i should fear going wrong?

im not sure if i am getting all my power. mods in sig. but i raced a G8 GT highway roll 90-130 and only pulled like 1-1.5 cars. i would think it would of been worse. dont know mods of said g8 tho. just a little worried it might be my oil pressure? of course when i shifted into 5th it fell on its face..

Id stick a oil pressure sending unit on it, either now or when you do the cam swap.

I doubt its the oil pump, but anythings possible.

Check the sensor first then the pump, but I would change the oil pump anyway when you change the cam.

There is a kit to check the pressure at the oil filter. I'm not sure who rents the kit though. Maybe someone else will chime in.
