Default ls1 to Lq4 swap question about heads

How much would I need to mill my LS1 heads before putting them on the lq4 with stock pistons. I want to keep the same compression I had in the LS1? I was told .030 and .010.

thanks,

You could put the LQ9 flat tops in it and not touch the heads and have somewhere in the neighborhood of 10.6:1 with stock LS1 66cc chambers.

Default cheaper

Yeah but here its only 60.00 per pair to mill heads so its cheaper than buying a set of pistons. Unless there is some other benifit.

Default compression

more compression = more power esp since I wont do too much spraying on the car.

I definately dont want to lose any power from the LS1 I had in the car before especially since im adding 88lbs to the front of the car. Battery going to the back will give back about 8lbs but 80lbs is a LOT to compensate for with power so I am hoping the extra cubes will give more power throughout the powerband.
