Factory pushrods with new cam?

Factory pushrods with new cam?
Ok, I know about checking for length, and I haven't done so yet because I'm not to that stage of the build, but if I'm ok with stock pushrod length, can I just use the stock ones? or am I going to need to get hardened ones?
The cam i'm running is the Torquer V2 (232/234 .595/.598 112lsa)
My friend also has the same cam and he said that stock length was good for him but he bought hardened pushrods. I really don't have the money to buy them or I would, but if it's a "must have" then I can just get them when I get the money.
Let me know what you guys think.

If you find that you need a set of stock length hardened pushrods (7.400), I can make you a good deal on a set I have. They are in mint condition with only 3,000 miles on them. I swapped out cams and need to go a bit shorter.
I'll do $70 delivered to your door. Like I said, these are in PERFECT condition.
Good luck either way. Just don't skimp when it comes to your build. You will be very sorry in the end.

Agreed, the stock pushrods have WAY too much flex and cause problems even on stock camshaft combo's....I'd never run them on an aftermarket camshaft with agressive lobes like those XER's!

I ran out of money in the middle of a cam swap and reused the stock pushrods with the cam in the sig. Didnt have any problems, even when hitting the 6700rpm rev limiter regularly.
I agree, the flexy stock pr cost power. Pushrods are easy to change, so you can just run the stock ones and change them later. Thats what I was plannning on doing but sold the car.

I'm glad to see that when someone is simply asking for help you are able to be a smart *** instead of offer any real advice.. if you even have any worth offering.
Thanks to everyone else. I'm doing what I can to get some money together to buy some. School is currently draining the majority of my funds lol. i have friends running stock pushrods so that's the reason for me not knowing. Guess that shows what my friends know haha.

That's what I would have done in the first place if 1)I had the money and 2)I had known in the first place I wouldn't be able to use the stock ones. Looks like I messed up this time so my engine is going to have to sit until i can afford to get the new ones.

a good set of chrom moly should cost you like $100-$120 bucks...IF your SOOO despirite to get back to driving her, and just have to use the Stockers ( I.E. Daily Driver ), You should atleast baby it.

I'm not in a huge hurry to get back to driving her. I mean, don't get me wrong, I can't wait to fire it up for the first time.. but I don't want that first time to double as my last so I'm going to wait for the pushrods. I've got a set of stock ls6 springs I'm trying to sell and some other little stuff here and there so hopefully I'll be able to get them pretty quickly.
