Comp R lifters + non adj rockers?
ok so i got comp r lifters and scorpion non adjustable rockers, now comp says preload should be .002-.004 correct, now that seems a little low to me sooo, i busted out my push rod lenght checked and set it all up put , set my rocker at zero lash and put a dial indicator on the pusrod side on the rocker arm, torqued it to 22ft lbs and set my adjustable push rod so it had .010 preload, will that be the correct to check push rod lenth for theses lifters with out adjustable rocker arms?

DO NOT DO IT. You won't be able to set your pre-load correctly and if you can't do that then you won't be able to set your lash correctly and if you can't do that then really everything is going to be off. I made this mistake please if I can help you save money on Tylenol because you keep banging your head on the bench because you can't figure out whats wrong then I have done my job.

Comp R lifters here with my oem rockers and no problems here. Just make sure you measure your push rods to be the right size they need to be. These are what jayson at TSP recomended me when I was building my forged engine. No sewing maching sound and nothing has failed in 8,000 HARD miles.

just built a motor over the winter and used Comp R lifters w/ Yella Terra rockers.
I measured everything, used 7.45 rods and then bought a shim kit from McCasterCarr to get .002 preload when cold. The shims also helped center the rocker in the center of the valve tip.
By far the quietest lifters and valve train setup I ever had. The injectors clicking are louder than the vlave train. Very happy the way everything turned out for me.
