How Do U Know PushRods are right length? Getting AFR 215's
I had Patriot heads and have a set of AFR 215 heads for my 2001 C5 Corvette.
How do they measure or determine if the current push rods are the right length? Should I get new ones anyway? Mine have 15K miles onb them.
I am not an engine expert so explain how/what they do to determine this and is it an exact science, or if the person installing doesn't know what they are doing is it easy to mess this up?
I am getting AFR 215's to repace my Patriot LQ9 59 cc heads. Also am upgrading my CAM (because it was messed up from the OLD 228/228 .588/.588 114LSA.
to the NEW: 234/240 .598/.608 114 LSA
I just want to make sure that I They TEST my existing push rod length and make sure it is CORRECT for the new set up.

Also, before determining pushrod length, you need to make sure the rockers provide the correct wipe pattern. I found with my AFR's I needed some rather thick shims but the geometry came out really good.
What rockers are you going to run?
