Default Home Hone

Out of curiosity, who has successfully honed their cylinders at home using a drill and one of those honing brushes? I'm interested in doing this, not for an LS motor but for an R1 motor. You guys know way more internal engine stuff than they do.

Thanks!

i dont see it being a problem. the nikasil plating is really hard, so its going to take a lot of work to hone thru it. i ran a brush hone thru the cylinder on my YFZ450 a few times just to break the glaze and didnt have a problem.
