Default xfi lobes-what do u think?

anyone know how they are? im lookin at a 248/254 around .620 lift and a 113lsa.

what are the characteristics of these?
good?
bad?
what are they known for?
any special requirements?
make good power?
how do they differ from other lobe styles?

thanks

The XFI lobes had some trouble when they first came out and thats scared a lot of people away from using them, including myself.

I have XFI intake lobes and X-ER on the exhaust. No problems here. I always thought the XFI were slightly softer than the X-ER?

Having said that my 403 in the works will have the valvetrain friendly EPS intake lobes and some kind of Comp marine application exhaust lobe....

According to the CompCam lobe catalog the XFI lobes do have a softer ramp rate then the XE-R lobes, but more lift for the same duration.
