Any suggestions/part #'s or links as to what would be a good oil pump and timing chain to go with during my cam swap? I was thinking of the LS2 chain or is the stock replacement suitable?

looking at your sig, you've only got 27K miles? I don't think I would replace the oil pump. As for the timing chain most here use the LS2 but I don't like the slack myself so I would look into a good aftermarket single set like Cloyes makes.

Seeing as you have an 02 you already have the LS6 pump, no reason to really change it. Lots of guys here get the Mehling, the ported pumps, etc... I like a nice unopened factory GM LS6 pump. There's been failures related to every pump so I stick with what GM offered from the factory. Sometimes that's the best bet. I use it, it holds plenty of pressure.

As for the chain... answer me this, what cam is going in?

I like the IWIS chain, which is available from Thunder Racing.

The LS2 chain is the stock replacement chain. The chain on your 02 is no longer offered. I prefer the Katech C5R (JWIS) chain as well.
