Default Stock rebuild or go forged????

Ok guys i have started doing research and so far i havent found a reason to build a new motor with forged parts since i have NO plans to boost or juice it .All i want is a low 12 sec dd so would i be ok with using the stock crank, rods and pistons or should i get new piston's?

I faced the same issue and decided to go with stock crank and rods (with aftermarket rod bolts) and replaced the pistons with Mahle forged pistons for the stock rod length. The Mahle's already have valve reliefs and the crank and rods are supposed to be extremely stout. PM me if you go this route, as the prices for the Mahle pistons vary widely.

you shouldnt need forged to run low 12s but if it makes you feel better or you want more power later go for it.

The standard LS1 crank and rods are fairly hefty. I'd install ARP rod bolts and if you need to hone the cylinders, then get forged pistons.
