Default PtoV with G5X-2 and .010 milled 5.7 heads?

I was thinking of getting these mods,
Is there any clearance issues with 5.7 heads and the G5X-2?
The heads are milled .010.

I'm no expert, but I think the clearance is very tight w/unmilled heads and that cam. Even though you only milled .010 you may have issues.

I was advised it probably wouldn't work; mine are .010 milled.

That isn't true. Plenty of cam only cars with the G5X-2. I have a cam about the same size with .015 shaved LS6 heads and although it's probably a little closer on clearance than it should be I haven't had any problems really. You ideally should have 80 thou clearance but I'm skating by with 75.

If the valve size is stock and you have just .010 milled, you should have no problem with the G5X-2 without flycutting. It is when you put larger valves in that the V to P gets closer.

Give me a call if you have any questions.

Thanks

See, now this is interesting.Everyone says that I have to notch the pistons and here's
somebody who has it done saying it fits fine.
I guess I'll have to try it and see what happens.

They may have been using the 112 to answer why they had clearance problems!
