My girls car has been throwing error code for the driver side of the exhaust system.. ill be replacing the O2 sensors with this update, but wanted to get some feedback and suggestions on the installation of universal cats on the car since one is a direct fit setup. still has stock manifolds, but when calling around muffler shops.. no one will do the install on the direct fit with the universals i bought..

Cant i just take the direct fit cat out.. cut off the end and weld to the new cat and just fab the rest to go back in place?

I know i have read here that others have do it but of course with headers ..
