Cnc is generally more expensive and more consistant with flow numbers since the program is already been written and perfected for that head by each company but some hand potted heads have been shown to flow more if the porter has a flow bench and is experienced. Either way it's still going to cost over $1000 to port or over $2000 for a set

Most of the vendors that I talked to on this board will CNC port your existing heads for about $900 + shipping both ways with a valve job, surface and assembly. I think AI might be a little cheaper, say $750 to $800, but you will have to make your specific deal with them.

In the end, there are many good options for 243's available to suit whatever your application or budget may be.

You might give us a call. We has Christmas specials going on the PRC cylinder head line, and can also give you a discount on the cnc machining of your castings. You'd be looking about $700 or so for full cnc port work, cnc valve job, cnc milling, and reassembly.
