Default Are Flat Top Pistons Worth it?

Searched but didn't get the answer I wanted. Are flat top pistons worth it in my case? I'm looking to build a LQ4 with a MS4 cam, a LS6 intake, long tubes and I'm not sure what heads, I was thinking L92, or porting 314 heads, not sure there, advice is awesome. But, back to my question, would in my case flat top pistons be worth the money I would spend on them? Or would I be better off with stock pistons?

Im assuming your talkin about forged pistons? It depends on what your gunna do with the motor"spray it?" also if you go with stockers youl prolly have to use stock rods witch suks.

I don't plan on using nitrous. I've heard from a few people that the LQ4 bottom end can take quite a bit of power. But I'm still learning about the LSX engines.

I'd say it depends on where you drive. If you're at high elevation, like Denver, then the flat tops will be more beneficial. The sea level guys are reporting running 11.2:1 with MS4 cams, so in Denver, you should try to get over 12:1

Yes flat tops with 2cc reliefs (specify type of valve angle used).
That way you can mill the heads a bit for uptimum CR for fuel used.

I'm down here in Florida. So for me since I am closer to sea level, they wouldn't be beneficial to me for the money I would spend on them?
