Default Should I do this swap?

ok, so far i have a h/c/i/e (not just bolt on...) ls1 making 46x rwhp. I am sooo tempted to do a lq4 swap, but I only want to do it for a fi route i will be going to a LONG time down the road. But I have some questions that i would like to know whether i buy/ start the process now or later. I will definitely be going the 408 stroker route with the lq4. I would love to go 427 but I've heard too often that the difference isnt worth the risks on that 6L block. These are the parts I have on my current set-up:

PRC 2.5 5.3L heads
Fast 92/92 combo
TSP Torquer 3
TSP 1 7/8 headers
TSP TD's
STG 2 (700hp) T-56 rebuild

ok, with the lq4 i want to go with 317 heads. Will i have to get rid of the fast 92 mods since the fast was for ls1 style heads or will they match the 317's? also, i'm hearing a lot about having to swap water pumps to make tb's work with the lq4. Can I get some clarification on that pls? I am assuming when you buy the rotating assembly, you will be getting all the hardware to complete the build for a bare part, or will there be miscellaneous parts that will be missing?

I want to go FI with the build (no nitrous). I know i need a lower cr piston so i'm assuming i will be loosing the heads (didnt want anyway) and the cam. What is the most aggressive cam you you can safely go with a blower/turbo set-up on 317 heads? I'm kinda stuck on the 317's because they are proven to cheaply support big power on FI setups on the 408.

In a nut shell, what all will i be needing to price on the new shortblock if i buy one already honed, new bearings, new cam with the hardware that comes with them, I will get new lifters with the 317's, what else am i missing? Everyone says the lq4 will swap directly over, but there has to be some things to watch out for. I'm no engine builder, i just like to know EXACTLY what i'm getting into before i make the jump. I know the motor wont make as much power as my current block if i build it for the power adder (TBD)

Or should i keep the freakin ls1 and stroke it to 383 after cleaning it up? i will still need better heads, so i might as well spend 800-1000 and get the 6.0. but thats half the price of decent heads.. my head hurts....

46x HP Bolton? LOL H/C isn't bolt on.

The 5.3 heads raise your compression so you would have to get rid of them and depending on your cam, you could be losing boost. The 317s lower the compression on a LS1 but I am not sure on a LQ4.

The F.A.S.T. intake will work with the 317s

The LQ4 should be a pretty straight forward swap.

Lol well I guess with the route I was going, a turbo is a bolt on since it bolts right on.. Edit coming soon before that's the new topic of discussion. thanks for the info storm.

No problem....but technically a turbo isn't considered a "bolt-on" either....It's all good man. We know what you mean though.

omg see how much sense my logic makes? lol.. everythings a bolt on... but no nitrous for me. i want a procharger because i believe it will be easier to install for me than a turbo. but the turbo makes power so much easier.
